Well Carter was damned good, better than Delgado IMO, just in terms of his career.

Stieb was sweet, and Bell was too, but Carter brought the most.

And **** Aubrey Huff, I went to watch the DRays for Boggs. It's not he's great, no one has ever been great, but he was the best player to don a DRays uni. Do you understand?

Perhaps we're reading the question differently.

I'm reading it to ask who gave that team the most, you appear to be reading it as the best player to ever wear that team's uniform.

Wade Boggs was great, but for the vast majoirty of his career he was great for the Yankees and Red Sox, not the Devil Rays.

and, i'll add, if we're going to say it's the best player to ever wear the team's uniform, then we should change the Brewers selection to Hank Aaron

Those 2 guys would never be on my list.

if they played with the negro leagues/latinos and if they didn't play in a media friendly ERA where the media only wrote the possitive information that there teams wanted them to write, i would give them allot of credit, but the fact is they didn't!!!!

So you're going to begrudge a couple great players because of rules and conditions they had no control over?
