Question for S3F

Do think any of these trades today could produce different trades with other teams??? See example

Brewers using F. Cordero or D. Bell for another trade?

-OR-


Rangers using C. Lee for another trade to get pitching?

It just seems wierd that the Brewers traded C. Lee so early.. That got me thinking that either the Brewers and/or Rangers have something else up their sleeves..

It just seems a little suspicious to me.... Just a thought.

Can you remember anyone in recent memory getting traded a few days before the deadline and then being traded at the deadline to another team?

But I'll answer this. I hardly think anyone else wants David Bell for more than a bag of peanuts. I would think that Coco is going to be used as the Brewers closer after he did well tonight and I would think there's 0 chance that Lee is dealt by the Rangers. Whifferson and Blalock have been mentioned in deals for pitchers, but I don't think there will be anyone worth while on the market.

Okay, I don't think either will get moved again, I mean Texas was even trying to go after Luis Gonzalez, they needed a good hitting OF.

As far as people getting traded twice, Mike Piazza got traded by the Dodgers for like 4 guys, then the Marlins traded him to the Mets for 2 specs.

And Jody Gerut got traded like 4 times last year at the deadline I think. (Indians-Cubs-Pirates-?)

Yeah. Man I loved him when he hit like .280 for the Indians and went 20/20 back when they were 1 year away.

He ****ing rocked, with mad good defense. I wish we could have him as a bottom of the order guy now, speed + defense = excellent player IMO.
