Thread: The 2006 Homerun Derby Thread

Essentially, if we assume Wright's in R3, the round starts with

    Ortiz: 2
    Cabrera: 1
    Howard: 0

    In terms of scores.

And Wright picks up where he left off

    Haha! Robbed of a HR!

For future derbies, we need to put real outfielders out there. Stick Ichiro, Torii Hunter, Andruw Jones, Jim Edmonds and Vernon Wells out there to bring back derby HR's.

I was thinking that exact same thing DK.

Although putting players like Ortiz, Ramirez, Hafner out there with fishing nets would be great too.

Seriously, they're interviewing Mark Loretta? That is such a random interview.

Ortiz is struggling early on too.

Why didn't Cabrera go up? Ortiz got almost no rest.

That's the second time Ortiz's hit the trim under the lip of the wall.

The second shot from the air to the rivah!

Only three homeruns though. Basically, Cabrera needs 4 and Howard needs five to get into (at least) a tie with Ortiz, but Howard may need more of Miguel hits a few out.

They said that for the second round, the order is by the standings after the first round (Wright, Ortiz, Cabrera then Howard)

That's kind of strange. Oh well.

Guess they want to give as much rest as possible for the probable finalists for the finals.
