Yes, in our era the players union is to blame for a lot of selfish concessions going to the players. 30-40 years ago + it was the owners raking the players over the coals.

The players union started to take a hit with the 1994 strike and ever since, they have been getting lot of negative coverage. Well-deserved too. Donald Fehr comes out as a very cold, calculating man.

essentially, the new policy will be:
First offense of either steroids or amphetamines: 50 game suspension
Second offense of above: 100 game suspension
Third offense: lifetime ban

Up from the old policy, applying to steroids only, of:
1st offense - 10 days
2nd - 30 days
3rd - 60 days
4th - 1 year
5th - Selig's choice

i have no problem with this new rule. three words:
Dont use steroids
