funny, put a Red Sox jersey on Mark Loretta and suddenly the fans deem him worthy enough to start an ASG.

    Ozzie is a homertastic asshole.

Buehrle? Contreras even? Even Rogers (he's not a White Sox, oh well).

Schilling. Liriano. Mussina. Hell, Verlander is better than Rogers.

    NO HAFNER? WHAT THE ****?

Loretta really shouldn't be there. I love the guy, he's an awesome, awesome, Mueller-esque player. But damn. Roberts/Lopez FTW

I am still willing to bet that Roger Clemens will be added to the roster due to someone bailing out and MLB justifying it by saying "But Clemens is going to retire for the 5th time after 2006!" Watch, he'll be there in some shape or form.

It doesn't make it funny...it just shows you how Homeriffic the average Red Sox fan is (not Fisher)...they don't care...they just assume that because player X is on the Red Sox that he is the greatest player EVARSSSS!@!!!!

When was the last time someone with a .450+OBP and a .600+SLG was left out of the ASG? That's just a joke.

Maybe they should dump the "15 pitchers" rule and the "Give every team an All-Star, even if that involves a Royal or Mike Williams" rule.

it's not just the Red Sox or even the Yankees....in fact i'd be willing to bet half the fans for pretty much any team are homerific when they fill out a ballot.

It's a matter of sheer numbers as they (and the Yankees and Mets) have a lot more fans and therefore put in a lot more votes.

This is the fault of internet voting.
