Game of the week (4-29): Braves vs Cardinals

For the first time Tim Hudson and Mark Mulder faceoff. Both traded this past offseason, the once former members of 'The Big Three' of the Oakland A's will make their anticpated faceoff now as opposing pitchers rather than teammates. The game between these first place teams and their star pitchers begins at 7:35 PM EST.

Tim Hudson for the Braves has been dominating thus far. He hasn't recorded a loss yet this season and his ERA is currently under one. Mark Mulder hasn't been quite as consisent in his debut with the Cardinals, but his last few starts have been strong. Including a complete game 5-hit shutout versus the Astros.

I know according to the Braves schedule the game is listed to be on "TBSxtra" or something like that, but the guide on my TV is listing it on regular TBS. So hopefully it is being shown on TBS. If not, you should really look into getting the MLB TV version, this could be an exciting matchup between these two.

Anyway, let's get some predctions going early.

Game is on TBS at 7:35 tonight.

Should be a great game, as long as Dan Kolb is not allowed to enter the stadium.

Great choice for the Game of the Week, mission.

With couple of former A's starters on the bump, it would be fun to see them go up against each other on the mound and with the bat.

    Cardinals 4 Braves 2

Not a huge fan of either team, but since my tv will cover it. I'll probably be on tonight watching it with y'all. Unless I get something more interesting to do.

Go Cards. I don't care much for the Braves. I'm definitely watching the game tonight. I wonder if one will get a hit off the other.

    Eckstein hits one off.

I knew that wasn't out, I saw it hit the ground. Good call by refs.
