    ASG still to determine home field for WS

    Yeah, this is nice, but it still doesn't solve the problem of the all star game itself.

    bud did what he had to do in order to make the allstar game competitive, im sure you guys would love to see another tie game in a allstar game and have players/commisioner/coaches get booed

    No, we'd rather see an all star game that actually matters. Its still a popularity contest.

    tell me something we dont know, if its been a popularity contest, then why not take the vote away from the fans? because majority of them vote for the players on there teams or there favorite players regardless if there having a shitty season or not.

    Exactly. The voting shouldn't even start until about June 1st or so. The players should be chosen by each team's manager from a list provided by MLB. The fans should NOT be allowed to vote for the all star team.

    i still dont see any other way to get these guys to play competively in the ASG without anything on the line

    Some of these players could care less if they're in the ASG because their teams are out of it.
