of course there's an explanation...it's only mid-May! Last year both the A's and Astros were 15 games below .500 and look what happened. The Astros made the World Series and the A's finished in 2nd 14 games above .500. It can very easily go the other way, too. Let's wait until the end of the season see where they all end up. I agree that it is better, but I still think it's a little early to be proclaiming anything with certainty.

C'mon man, it's a rarity that EVERY team in a division is over .500 even in mid-May. There is always that one team like the Royals and DRays that ****s a division. This is a great thing.
