Four minor league players have been suspended 50 games apiece for violating baseball's minor league drug prevention and treatment program.
Ramon Ramirez of the Cincinnati Reds' organization, Waner Mateo of the New York Mets' organization and Ryan Rafferty of the Kansas City Royals' organization were suspended for testing postive for using a performance-enhancing substance. Another member of the Reds' organization - Justin Mallet - was suspended for testing positive for drugs.
The suspensions were announced Tuesday by the Office of the Commissioner of Baseball.
