    close enough.

I'm lucky to post 80 times in a month.

Ball goes right by Rolen on a bad hop, 2 on with 1 out.

Something happened, Eckstein bobbled a ball or something or other, 1st and 3rd, 2 outs, Juan Pierre's at bat.

And the bleeding is finally stopped off of a broken bat groundout to first.

    Wow.

Ryan Dempster time. Hopefully the "let's throw awful balls and wild pitches" syndrome doesn't hit him.

Aaron Miles lines one into left field and Matt Murton makes a nice falling/diving catch for out #1.

Slow roller to first by (Guy), Dempster takes it to first himself for the second out.

Ground out to Derrek Lee to end the game.

Cubs win 8-4, sweeping the 3 game series from the Cards.

Great game to close it off.

Spiezio? The Cards picked Spiezio up? If a hitter isn't good enough for the Mariners, STAY AWAY FROM HIM!

Circular logic aside, Mr Mims, you have yet to provide a single credible reason why you are, in fact, hot.

Why did Dusty bring in Dempster in a 4-run game? Dempster pitched on Friday and Saturday. Anyways. whatever.

came here to say what Fisher said.

Baker likes to overwork his pitchers, so he does it. Doesn't hurt that his pen was pretty depleted tonight and he doesn't like to have a guyu go for more trhan 1 IP.

Dempster used to be a starter, I doubt it really killed him to work another night.

Man, I was hoping the phillies could have done that to Izzy the other night. I don't know if it's just starting early and shaking off some cobwebs, but Isringhausen has looked very mediocre in the early going.
