    Rockies Dodgers @ Rockies 9/2-9/4

For the first two games the Dodger offense was shut down by a pair of Kims, Sun-Woo and Byung-Hyun, while the Rockies lit up Weaver and Houlton. Miss Yhency couldn't last an inning in mop-up duty as he was charged for 5 runs (4 earned) in 0.2 innings pitched.

The Rockies always seem to play spoilers down the stretch against the Dodgers. The Dodgers have lost too much ground in the playoff race for a while now because they don't take spoilers such as the Padres and Rockies seriously enough.

    Game 1: Colorado won 11-3
    Game 2: Colorado won 11-1

explain to me how, exactly, the team that's in 1st place, and by a good margin, is a "spoiler".

LA got swept by Colorado. At least they're ahead of the Dbacks now for 3rd place!

I meant before the Padres were contenders for the division. You know, when Nevin and Klesko were good bats in the lineup.
