He's celebrating Olivier Perez's demise.
Gregg came in and got the save tonight.
Camp wasn't used, but Scott Downs came in to add to his AL lead in "holds"
I honeslty have no clue as to who will be a Jay come deadline day, and who will be a dodger.
Tim Kurkjfbslknslnfsfnsfn said the dodgers have "dropped" names for Roy Oswalt. Epic breaking news. Names were dropped! Don't suppose they were the names of Frank and Jamie's lawyers?
MLBTR: Rosenthal tweets that the Astros asked the Dodgers for both big league-ready position players and prospects in a deal for Oswalt.
Which means Oswalt will be traded to the Cardinals for Kent Bottenfield, Bud Smith, and Jimmy Journell.
I hate the double standard of which Ned Colletti's stupidity has created for other GM's to take advantage of him.
So basically.. "Billingsley/Kershaw, Kemp, and insert minor leaguer names here"
On a scale of 1-100, how pissed off would you be if by some chance they made a deal like that for Oswalt, when something similar could have been done for Lee? Just hypothetical.
McCourt couldn't make that deal even if he wanted to, so there's no point for me in getting pissed off about it. There's enough to lament about with Santana for Casey and Josh Bell for Sherrill.
#Dodgers asst GM for scouting Logan White expected to interview tomorrow with #Diamondbacks for GM opening.
Here's hoping Kevin Towers gets the job instead.
Brad Ausmus retired. I like to think the outcome of the past two NLCS Game 4's would have been different had Ausmus, and not Martin, caught Broxton. But then Broxton's 4-run meltdown (with Ausmus catching) at Philadelphia this August reaffirmed that Broxton is just hopeless against the Phillies.
Word is Dennis Mannion was blindsided by his termination. It couldn't happen to a nicer guy. Good riddance to that ass kisser.
Dodgers Eyeing Brandon Webb: MLB Rumors - MLBTradeRumors.com
Japan Rumors: Nishioka, Kobayashi: MLB Rumors - MLBTradeRumors.comQuote:
Webb hasn't pitched professionally since he made one appearance in April of 2009, as he was sidelined by shoulder surgery. Prior to '09, Webb was among the best pitchers in all of baseball.
yay usQuote:
Nishioka would prefer to play for the Dodgers if he's posted, reports Dylan Hernandez of the L.A. Times.
The 26-year-old switch-hitter batted .346/.423/.482 this year, and was described as a Chone Figgins/Ryan Theriot type by Patrick Newman of FanGraphs.
Nothing wrong with giving Webb a shot.
Yeah, you're right. I should save my breath for when we give Mike Hampton and Jay Payton a shot.
No need for Payton, already have Jay Gibbons:)
