Roy Oswalt on the Dodgers could lead to World Series - latimes.com
Pitcher wants out of Houston, but Dodgers' Colletti says he wants to evaluate the team's rotation after Padilla comes off the disabled list before considering any trades.
    Are you f***ing serious?!

I hate to be the one to ask what is there to evaluate.

I understand that it may not be "our year" to win it all, but could he act like he gives a shit about making the team better?

Sherrill to the 15-day shit list. Er, disabled list. He's battling a severe case of the suck.

Update on their DFA status: Russ Ortiz retired. Ramon Ortiz got unconditionally released. So sad.

Re: Welcome to L.A., Russ and Ramon Ortiz

    per mlbtr
The Dodgers expect they'll be able to add a starter and reliever in the next ten days, giving up better prospects while the other team pays the player's salary. Not the best long-term strategy. The Dodgers have been linked to Paul Maholm, Roy Oswalt, Ted Lilly, Jake Westbrook, Fausto Carmona, David Aardsma, and the Blue Jays' relievers.
Well, I can expect Kenley Jansen and Dee Gordon to be traded for Paul Maholm.

It's pathetic that the L.A. Dodgers would be asking the Pittsburgh Pirates for money.

Dodgers recalled Kenley Jansen; Justin Miller DFA'd

Even if Kenley sucks out of the gate, the call-up was necessary.

Pitched the 8th on friday giving up 2 runs to the tigers.
I would assume that if they got to the 9th, Gregg would have been in there, but you never know considering Cito.

Then is he the hypothetical heir apparent if Gregg and the rest of the bunch are dealt to teams who think they're contenders (like the mets! yeah!)

Remember when Scott Downs killed it last year. I miss those days.

P.S. Totally de-railed this thread. Mofo's gonna kill me
