Blah. Instead of pushing their luck with McCarthy and Anderson, I really wished they had just held on to Andrew Heaney and lived happily ever after.

Also picked up Brandon Beachy on a 1 year, $2.75M deal with a team option for 2016 worth between $3-6 million. He has to start the year on the DL, but he could be excellent depth if he's ready just when Anderson's arm falls off.
Also a nice gamble if his arm stays attached. We'll regret giving up on Beachy and Medlen. One will be good again.

I dreaded the same thing watching Billingsley sign with the Phillies for cheap, but I think our FO made up for it with Beachy who's younger and has more upside.
Beachy sucks, Anderson sucks, McCarthy is useless.
