Kemp hit his second home run of the season yesterday. HAMG WE SHOULD HAVE KEPT HIM!!111!!1!1!!11111
Why does the Padres' Matt Kemp stink so much? | San Diego Sun Times
I'm sure that rate will get better with age. LOL.Quote:
He is chasing pitches out of the zone at a career-high rate of 37.2 percent, according to Baseball Info Solutions data. Of course, then, it would stand to reason he is walking less, which he is, at 4.1 percent. Since 2008, that number has never been lower than seven percent.
That's San Diego sports luck. They make a big offseason acquisition or extension and all of a sudden the player sucks.
David Boston, Phil Nevin, Ryan Klesko, Carlos Quentin (the injuries were expected on that one, though), Craig Kimbrel even.
At least Kemp's defense is still good (although it can be argued he may not have to make as many flashy plays if he got better reads on the ball)
Melvin Upton to save the day!
Meh, it's bound to mentioned in a Dodgers vs Padres thread, just like a Raiders vs Chargers thread going off on a tangent of which team has won a Super Bowl.
It would have been awesome if that umpire had injured Shemp on that take down a la Milton Bradley.
It's a shame he could have been the Dodgers' starting rightfielder right now with Puig sidelined for the postseason. Instead, he gets to put up meaningless stats in San Diego, all because he had to be a bitch about not wanting to play left field.
