The only one who could bat at all in the bigs IMO is Valentin but that doesn't mean he could hit very good as a fulltime catcher. The Reds have no longterm options in the system, let alone close to being ready.

IMO, there is no X-factor player out there available. Adam Dunn is a nice left-handed power hitter but he will have to make a huge adjustment batting in Dodger Stadium instead of Great American for home games. We saw that Shawn Green could not put up consistent seasons during his time in LA.
Gary Sheffield is an ideal bat for us, but he's not available for trade.
