Are Dodgers fans really more loyal than any given fanbase?

I mean, you have these sports teams that are always lauded as being more "loyal" and "dedicated" than other teams' fans but I'm forced to wonder if it's a coincidence that these teams with these rabidly loyal fans are all either large market teams and/or very succesful franchises.

The Cleveland Browns are the only team I can think of off hand whose fans are glorified as loyal and dedicated that doesn't fall under either catagory.

The line "With fans so loyal..." was narrated over the snapshots of Brooklyn Dodger fans. Granted, the level of Brooklyn fans' loyalty might not be relevant since it is the fan base in L.A. that is being affected, but fan loyalty is still part of the Dodger brand that L.A. fan base in general has owned up to, except the McCourts have taken it upon themselves to fuck with the brand.
