I guess all the generous donations from the L.A. community and Tim Lincecum weren't enough for the Stow family.

While an exact amount of damages the lawsuit seeks hasn't been specified, Stow's family estimates that the cost of his lifetime care will cost $45-$50 million.

I hate to be cynical about this, but how much of the $45-$50 million will ACTUALLY go toward his lifetime care?

Dodgers have had problems with security before, and they have tons of evidence to show they knew something could happen... makes them liable... agree the dodgers didn't do that attack but they are still responsible for it

I wonder if the tons of evidence that would show that something COULD happen will stipulate that when you wear the apparel of the opposing team at a sporting venue, it exacerbates, not mitigates the situation.

It's actually common sense, based these factors.
-Opening series of the season
-Against your arch and hated rival, who are comming off of winning the world series.

Those two factors alone should have indicated to increase security.

Ultimately the Dodgers may have bad security and if they had better security in place this may not have happened, but it did. That makes them somewhat responsible, but fully responsible no way. The bastards that are out there who did this to this kid are the ones ones who are fully responsible.
