eovaldi... worth picking up? ive had jurrjens, de la rosa and villanueva (who sucks anyway) go on the dl over the last week and a half... plus im still throwing out bums like colon, burnett and bud norris on a week to week basis. his line wasnt too bad last night, and i love the 7ks over 5. only 77 pitches over 5 too, so he threw strikes mother fucker... howd he look though? still the regular retreads out there for me to try instead... buehrle, duensing, moscoso, minor.

In my non-Dodger fan opinion, I'd say go with a proven starter, Peavy or Buehrle, depending on who scores higher in your league. But for what it's worth, Eovaldi's next start will be against the Lastros in Dodger Stadium so the setting is favorable to him.

They should make Billingsley start the next game of the doubleheader too. It's because of his pathetic outing that Mattingly had to exhaust the bullpen through the first game.

Ethier is done for the season with that bad knee and looks like he will need offseason surgery. That will hurt his trade value this offseason if the Dodgers did in fact have any plans to trade him. I don't think they did but this could also mean that Ethier could be moved to 1B finally.

I don't see them moving Ethier from right field, even though he should be playing left field instead. He's unhappy about not having yet received a new contract and I'm sure he would oppose a move to LF or 1B, knowing there is less demand in the market for a hitter with moderate power who plays LF/1B than there is for the same hitter who plays RF.

It's not up to Ethier where he plays. If Mattingly wants to do what's best for the team, he will move Ethier to first. Ethier is a terrible OFer. If Etheir bitches and moans about the move and shows he's not a team player, that will only hurt him when he becomes a FA.

If Ethier bitches and moans, the next thing you'll tell me is that they should trade him and get what they can for him because they can't make him stay, or some such contradiction to your notion that it's not up to Ethier where he plays.
