    Dodgers Will Pods accept?

Dodgers exercised OF Scott Podsednik's $2 million option for 2011.
It was a mutual option, so the 34-year-old outfielder now has 72 hours to accept the contract or become a free agent. Podsednik delivered a .297 batting average, .342 on-base percentage, six homers, 51 RBI and 35 stolen bases in 50 attempts this year before having his season cut short by plantar fasciitis.
Pods will probably accept this deal. He would most likely get a full-time job in LA and hit in front of guys like Ethier and Kemp. This was a no brainer as far as the Dodgers are concerned.

Matt Kemp can feel his leash being broken already.

    Re: Will Pods accept?

    Looks like I was wrong.
Scott Podsednik declined his $2 million option for 2011 and elected to become a free agent.
The Dodgers exercised the mutual option on Tuesday, but Podsednik would rather take his chances in the free agent waters. He will not receive a buyout. The 34-year-old outfielder batted .297/.342/.382 with six homers, 51 RBI and 35 stolen bases between the Royals and Dodgers this season. While his numbers were helpful from a fantasy perspective, he was barely above replacement-level.
The Dodgers have another hole to fill. I really thought Pods would stay since the Dodgers do have a full-time job for him and they have a nice core of talent.

Mc****head will re-sign Pods to a longer deal just so he can afford an alibi not to make an effort to sign Crawford or Werth and so he can tell the fans, "See? I'm making the team better! Please come back and keep spending $20 on parking and buy more beer."

The Dodgers aren't likely to pursue a premier front-line starter such as Cliff Lee.

There is nothing to indicate the Dodgers will be in the running for high-end outfielders such as Carl Crawford or Jayson Werth
    F.uck. this. shit.

This surprises you? They should re-sign Kuroda to go with Kershaw, Bills and Lilly.

No Dunn, no Werth, no Uggla, not even Berkman. All I get is Uribe, Barajas, and Jay Gibbons. So sick of Frank's excuses. Either put your money where your mouth is or get the **** out.

Plenty of offseason to watch Carl Crawford sign elsewhere, leaving just Johnny Damon and Scott Podsednik as a possible "upgrade" to Jay Gibbons.

    Re: Will Pods accept?

The Los Angeles Dodgers' search for a left fielder has been narrowed to free agents Matt Diaz and Scott Podsednik and a third outfielder whose name remains a mystery, according to a well-placed source. Neither Diaz nor Podsednik are considered everyday players, meaning the Dodgers probably will have at least four positions without a full-time starter
ROFL. Matt DIE-az, Pods, and a third outfielder Ned doesn't want us to know (I'm guessing it's a shitty ex-Giant). They're just not trying anymore.

    Re: Will Pods accept?

the Dodgers have been in contact with Marcus Thames and Scott and Jerry Hairston as possible free agent candidates for left field.
Just what we need to go along with the pile of shit of Jay Gibbons, Tony Gwynn Jr., Xavier Paul, and Eugenio Velez: the Hairston brothers.

    Re: Will Pods accept?

I'm now convinced they should just start next season with Jay Gibbons at LF. The last thing I want is for Billingsley to be traded for a marginal upgrade.

Marginal upgrades are still out there, Pods being one of them.
