At least he was good as recently as last season. Oliver Perez hasn't been good since 2004. His 2007 year was a mirage and the mets are suffering for it. I laugh at them!

Oliver Perez is to the Mets as Carlos Perez was to the Dodgers. Except Oliver had talent. Carlos was a disaster even at half the price.
BTW, who would have known Jason Bay and Oliver Perez combined would cost $102 million? It seems like only yesterday the Pirates looked cheap in trading Brian Giles to San Diego.
That trade doesn't look quite as bad with Oliver not turning into the next Randy Johnson.
