The Angels took two of three from the Dodgers at Dodger Stadium from May 20-22. Angels lead the all-time Freeway Series 25-22.

Two relievers = Shields and the cheater Donnelly.......Weaver and Lackey both pitched good games. That bobble in the 5th kinda blew the game open for the Angels. On to game 2.....

Penny, Weaver, and Lowe should be mentioned along with Zito and Clemens as pitchers who have lacked team run support this season. LA's offense is taking a hit as J.D. Drew sat out for the third game in a row with a knee injury.

Angels leading 3-1. Shields in for Santana, who threw 6+ innings with one earned run and 7 Ks. Santana looked like his former namesake, Johan.

Angels won 3-1. Again, the Dodgers offense just sucked. I didn't recognize some of LA's batters when I was watching the game. The offense needs to get it together and start scoring more runs in support of the recent strong pitching performances. LA's pitching staff still ranks 12th in the NL.

You didn't recognize them because they're all from the minors. Hell, 1/2 of your team is on the DL. OK, I'm exaggerating but hey, it is true injuries are running rampant everywhere.

The Angels are hot right now offensively. The Dodgers have nothing to be ashamed of. It is still early, not even the All-Star break yet. In the weak NL West Division it is anyone's division, even the Gnats........
