Peavy had another phenomenal pitching performance (13 K's in 8 IP) against the Dodgers in a 1-0 Padres win. Peavy is LA's Juan Marichal of this generation.

Yea he is. He SMOKED the Dodgers, I would have LOVED to see the last batter of the game(forgot who lol) get a 3 run home run off of Trevor lol.

I thought LA would find a way to beat the Padres in the ninth.

I thought so too. Trevor seems vulnerable this year and I've watched him blow a save against LA a season or two ago. He does have 45 career saves and a 2.50 ERA against LA.

Trevor has seemed a bit vulnerable this year...but he is 18 of 20. It's really just a perspective thing, however, as he's been very reliable, just not nearly as dominant as he used to be.

It was the same way last year, he still gets it done for the most part (only blew 4 saves...ironically enough all four were on David Wells' starts) but he seems to make us nervous all the time by allowing a few baserunners, then getting the third out.

Getting shut down by Jake Peavy is one thing. If the Dodgers don't win against Woody Williams, their offense officially sucks.
