Dodgers Pettitte Pitching For Joe Again?

Andy Pettitte has spoken multiple times with his former manager, Joe Torre, about joining the Dodgers, sources told FOXSports.com's Ken Rosenthal.
It was supposed to be Yankees or retirement for Pettitte, but now it seems like he wants to pitch and he's simply not among the Bombers' top priorities. That could put either the Dodgers or Astros into the mix.
It sounds like a good idea but the Dodgers aren't going to pay him anymore than the Yankees will. Pettitte wants close to the $16 million he made last year. The NL West could be the best place for Pettitte to find any success.

I can't wait for the signings of Rich Aurilia and David Eckstein or worse, Orlando Cabrera, to come true.

I did read where they were looking at Renteria and Cabrera.

    Poor guy.
It's like mofo just looked into the future and saw that he was going to marry the bald/crazy version of Brittany Spears.

But in all reality, if he signs for cheap (I know he won't) would it be that bad of a signing.

Yes, it could very well be that bad of a signing. Pettitte had an ERA over 5 in the second half last year.

***damnit, just get Pedro Martinez. Not only would it give us our token 5.00+ ERA #5 starter, it would replenish us karma points lost and haven't found since he was traded for Delino.
