Come on, Kuroda, do not ruin this for us.
Loooooooooney! Woooo!
Go Dodgers
A 1-2-3 inning for Kuroda. I hope Broxton is taking notes.
They just showed Orel Hershiser's last pitch in game 5 of the 1988 World Series.
I can't believe the nostalgia it just brought up, considering how much of a non-fan I am of the Dodgers now.
(in case anyone hasn't followed, I used to be a Dodgers fan, 1989 was the year I switched to the Padres...I was 8 years old then.)
Orel is still one of my all time favorite pitchers.
1 More Out! 1 More Out!
Regardless of what you may want to believe, the Dodgers are my least hated division rival and I really am pulling for them now.
I spent the first 4-5 years of the part of my childhood that I remember (~5-8 yrs old) as a Dodgers fan and I don't really hate them. (Tommy Lasorda held me in his hands when I was a baby and my mom was at the airport when they came home from the 1981 NLCS...of course, I don't remember that though)
I reserve some distaste for them by virtue of them being division rivals, but I don't really hate them all that much.
I hate the Giants the most in the NL West (probably a holdover from my upbringing as a Dodgers fan) and I hate the D-Backs and Rockies about equally next due to different reasons.
The Dodgers, I only dislike cuz they're division rivals.
:clap:Congrats to the Dodgers!! Feels funny that I was the only one who had faith in them in September. Go Torre!!
Untrue! I picked the Dodgers http://www.strike3forums.com/forums/...son-picks.html
Everyone else picked the Cubs though.
I had a feeling the Dodgers would win but I was blinded by the Cubs bandwagon :banghead:
Actually, I said their season was dead back in August 10, after the stinking Giants took 2 of 3 from them. I'm happy that the Diamondbacks choked away the division for us.
Either way, I'm pulling for Joe the rest of the way.
I'm just glad that the Diamondbacks are in the 2007 Padres' position, and not us. The "what could have been" position.
