    Dodgers Kent's Knee Surgery

Jeff Kent underwent surgery Tuesday to repair cartilage damage in his left knee.
Players typically miss 3-4 weeks after such an operation, but the Dodgers may bring Kent back in two weeks to act as a pinch-hitter. He was placed on the DL, so he won't be eligible to play again until Sept. 15. Blake DeWitt is expected to fill in at second base.
With all the playoff talk going on, how the **** did I miss this?? I had no idea Kent was even hurt. Kent continues to decline and this could be the last of a HOF career.

    Just Dewitt.

Anyway, he'll leave and we'll have a big hole at second base. Maybe we'll re-invite to spring training Craig Counsell and his glorious high gamer percentage.

Isn't Hudson a FA next year? I sure know Ray Durham is.

Hudson should be a free agent this offseason, although I don't think he goes anywhere, barring a $90-100 million extension for Adam Dunn.

Kent has reportedly said this year will be his last.

Then again Andruw Jones also said his most recent trip to the buffet line will be his last.
