Dodgers draft Luke Hochevar

Hochevar falling into the 2nd round is the biggest surprise of the draft. Similar to when Ben Diggins fell to LA's pick in 2000. We shall see if Hochevar will be anything more than Diggins.

Hochevar is going to be sweet. I knew DePodesta would of snagged him there if avaiable. You guys got the cash to draft him and considering he fell so low due to that, it's quite a steal in my books.

There is a big reason for that. His agent is Scott Boras hence why he fallen that low. It's similiar to Mark Prior being the second pick instead of the first pick in 2001. Prior's agent is Boras and Boras made it clear that his client would refuse to pitch in Minnesota. That's one of the reasons why I hate the Dodgers. It seems the Dodgers and Boras have a unique relationship in which his clients would always go to LA. Dodgers, Yankees, Mets, Cubs, and the Red Sox are where Boras clients go to. Funny how those big-market teams get Boras's clients.

Good thing the Dodgers chose not to re-sign Boras client Chan Ho Park.
