    Dodgers Andruw Could Have Surgery

An MRI revealed fluid and torn cartilage in Andruw Jones' right knee.
After Monday's game, Joe Torre said that Jones would be out until at least Friday due to the injury. Jones painted a more dire picture: "I'm going to give it two days, and if it doesn't get better... we'll go ahead and scope it," said Jones. Arthroscopic surgery would keep Jones out of the lineup until July, making "arthroscopic surgery" a potential MVP candidate for the Dodgers. "Hopefully, I can just get treatment on it, and then probably get (the surgery) done during the offseason," Jones said.
The way things are going, the Dodgers should flat out make Jones have surgery and be ready for the second half. Big Papi had a bad knee and his numbers and team took a dive. Scoping the knee can only help Jones' hitting, right?

Unless the surgery is to get his stomache stapled, I could care less. See ya next year.

The rehab could help him lose weight. I know it did with me.

Andruw Jones going down is a huge blow. I shudder at the thought of increased playing time for Matt Kemp and Andre Ethier.

You all can have Corey Patterson. Dirt cheap, too.

No thanks. I'll take the ghost of Grady Little's man love for Juan Pierre over Dusty Baker's nutswinging for Corey Patterson. Any day.

Juan Pierre has been better than Andruw this season. Perhaps he's having surgery on his talent. Dr. House claims it's terminal.

    Re: Andruw Could Have Surgery

What the hell has happened to Andruw Jones? Just a couple of years ago he was considered one of the best CF out there. And then poof his talent is gone. I mean he went from hitting 51 and 41 homeruns in 2005 & 2006 to 26 last year and now fricking 2 this year. Also his average has dipped. He has never been a .300 plus type hitter , but he went from his average around .260's to .222 in 2007 and now hitting a robust.165.
