    Bat Juan Pierre 3rd?

It sounds like a joke and it is a joke, but according to the lineup generator that Wally Mo Pena found that suggested that Scott Hatteberg bat leadoff, two of the three lineups that would generate the most runs (5.426) feature Pierre in the 3-hole. Of course, it's based off of last year's stats, so it doesn't take into account Andruw Jones' and Furcal's down years and the most important factor....the reality that Juan Pierre is just not very good.

Now that I know that it was Bill James' idea to have the hitter with the worst on-base average bat in the 3-hole, it makes sense to me why this lineup analysis turned out the way it did.

Bill James. One overrated man who knows his stats but doesn't know baseball.

This is a completely ridiculous idea and I don't understand how it would work at all...how bizarre
I did a lot of good things as a sim league GM.

Ah, give me something clever to say here.
