LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Outfielder Jason Repko and the Los Angeles Dodgers agreed Friday to a one-year contract worth $487,500.

Repko was sidelined last season after tearing two hamstring tendons that had to be reattached during spring training. He was injured March 22 during a spring training game and had surgery six days later.

In 2006, Repko hit .254 with three homers and 16 RBIs in 69 games. He was on the disabled list for more than two months because of a severely sprained left ankle.

Repko gets a slight increase from his $395,000 salary last year. He can make an additional $87,500 in performance bonuses: $12,500 for 100 plate appearances, and $25,000 each for 150, 250 and 350 plate appearances.
I don't know what's worse: the possibility of Repko wasting 350 plate appearances or reserving those 350 plate appearances for Juan Pierre. It's a no-win situation.
