And of course, the Marlins rip LA off again last season with LA getting an injured arm in Penny, a platoon 1b in Choi for clubhouse leader LoDuca and the then best setup man in baseball, Mota. Billy Murphy netted Steve Finley, whom the team chose not to keep and instead overpay for JD Drew. And they failed to keep Beltre by lowballing him

Can you guys even touch Slocumb for Tek and Lowe (Mariners to the Red Sox)? MAYBE the Pedro one, but they are close.

Not even close. The Dodgers gave up freakin Pedro Martinez. With all due respect, Lowe and Tek are great players, but not future hall of famers.
