Gagne out two games for wearing uniform while on DL

NEW YORK (AP) -- Injured Los Angeles closer Eric Gagne was suspended for two games and fined an undisclosed amount Friday for violating a penalty by Major League Baseball barring him from Dodgers games during his stint on the disabled list.
Gagne had been disciplined for his ejection on April 6. During the fifth inning of the Dodgers' game at San Francisco, he apparently heckled home plate umpire Bill Hohn about balls and strikes from the dugout, breaking rule 3.17 of the MLB rulebook, which states that ``players on the disabled list ... may not take part in any activity during the game such as warming up a pitcher, bench jockeying, etc.''
Gagne's suspension will begin after he is activated from the disabled list. The right-hander, who has yet to pitch this season because of a sprained right elbow, threw 40 pitches off flat ground Wednesday and is scheduled to throw two bullpen sessions this weekend.
