Gagne is out with possibly more nerve damage in the same elbow (according to ESPN). I hate to say it, but he may be nearing his end.

Gagne the National ?? Interesting rumors out there about you guys picking up Soriano, and Gagne's name is being mentioned in the deal....hmmm

It'd been more likely to happen if the Nationals were still playing in Gagne's hometown of Montreal. The Dodgers would be hard pressed to trade Gagne at less than his value when he's healthy, while the Nationals would want more than an injured arm for Soriano.

I never like to see a player lose a career to an injury, but I also can't say he'll be missed by us
