    Angels Angels Opening Day 2006 @ Seattle

    On first look it would appear that the Angels lineup hasn't really changed much. Looking a little deeper, Erstad has moved to CF from first and been replaced with Kotchman who finally lands a starting gig. The Molina behind the plate is not Bengie but Jose. Big questions will be the health of Anderson and Colon.

    Bartolo Colon

    On the Seattle side, history will be made with the rook catcher behind the dish. Kenji Johjima, the first Japanese catcher in MLB, won seven consecutive Gold Gloves.......

    Erstad is now in CF again how is that going to work out for the Halos? It should be an interesting game with Moyer's intelligence vs Colon's power.

    The Angels offense is weaker this year IMHO...pitching should still be good despite the losses, but ultimately the offense will bring them down.

    Well, yeah but it was a struggle and not a good sign. Not crazy about watching another season of struggling to win every game, although I suppose that is what baseball is all about. It would be pretty boring if it was easy all the time.......

    What happened to your A's yesterday? Zito got blown out right away. For your sake, hope that was just opening day jitters....
