Sad Tyler Skaggs has passed away

He was just 27 years of age. He was found unresponsive in his hotel room in Texas earlier this morning. No immediate word on the cause of death, but no signs of foul play. The Angels' game today vs the Rangers was cancelled.

Obviously for anybody who's followed the Angels, his death will bring back painful memories of the tragedies in the team's history, most recently the deaths of Nick Adenhart and his two companions caused by a drunk driver.

    Such a sad story.

The no hitter the Angels threw on Friday night was really special. After the game, on Quick Pitch, both Kelly Nash and Mike Trout were getting emotional in the post game interview. A very special night.

If the thought of choking to death on your vomit isn't enough to scare you off of mixing opioids with alcohol, then I don't know what will.

    RIP.
