Angels Over/under 35.5 saves for Limp Wrist?

Brian Fuentes somehow managed to put up 48 saves last year despite being quite mediocre. This year, he will have Fernando Rodney waiting in the wings to fill in, if anything catastrophic happens, and we knows it's only a matter of time. So I'm setting the bar at 35.5 saves for the season. Over or under, which do you take?

Do you even consider Rodney as someone waiting in the wings? That's like saying Bill Hall is waiting in the wings to replace Adrian Beltre.

Scioscia likes to burn through his bullpen, so 40 save opportunities will be there for the taking. But Limp Wrist is on a shorter leash with this season being his walk year, so you can bet he will be yanked from the closer's role if and when he blows enough games. Also waiting in the wings is Kevin Jepsen, who some stat geeks believe can become an ace reliever.

His near 5 ERA is a positive sign.

They're high on him because his combination of plus stuff and bad-luck statistical indicators imply he shouldn't have surrendered the number of hits and runs that he did.

Fuentes is streaky, with options waiting in the wings, I don't know if he will outright lose his spot but I could see games after a bad outing where he doesn't get the call.

It'll be close, if he is healthy, but I think he comes in just under that mark.

I'm going under. Rodney is better than he's played so far. I still hold out hope he reaches his potential. Fuentes is only declining

Angels place Limp Wrist on the disabled list. And so it begins.

To replace Brian Fuentes on the roster? The Angels brought up from Triple-A a relief pitcher named Francisco Rodriguez. No joke.
