I'm frankly not sure he's worth what Mo got. K'Rod has been a very good closer, but having that big a contract would put a lot of pressure on him. The fans in New York may not accept 7 blown saves.
Garland has been an innings eater throughout his career. He isn't flashy, and really isn't a top of the rotation pitcher anymore, IMO. Considering he was the highest paid pitcher on the Angels' roster, one should be able to expect better results than they got from him last season. He was only good for 100 pitches per start last year, and that would frequently come up in the 5th inning. He needs to get back to his old form to be effective, as he only averaged 6 innings per start (4th on the staff, just higher than Jered Weaver). That won't get him $10M/year in this market, so he'll have to take quite a pay cut just to get a job.
Garret Anderson has been a warrior for the Angels, but they really don't have a position for him anymore. Vladdy is going to get a lot of ABs at the DH spot and Garret cannot handle playing the field 5 days a week. If he stays in the AL, he could help a team that needs a DH, part-time LF. He could still be a run producer, if handled properly, and could help a team with a lot of young hitters. He would be another coach for the kids.

NY will accept seven blown saves as long as 62 come with it. I really hope the Royals pursue a guy like Garland.
