    KRod Loses In Arbitration

Francisco Rodriguez lost his arbitration case on Friday and will make $10 million in 2008.
It ties the record Ryan Howard just matched Thursday for the highest sum given through arbitration. Like the previous sole record holder, Alfonso Soriano, K-Rod lost his case in his final year of arbitration eligibility. He asked for $12.5 million. It couldn't have helped his case that he has so few comparables in arbitration.
KRod is one of the best in the business and will make a killing next year in FA thanks to the deal Rivera just got from the Yankees. KRod has saved 40 or more in the past three seasons.

Man it going to be weird seeing him in a non Angel uniform. I'm sure this arbitration disagreement is going to be one of the final nails in the coffin for him staying around.

Now if he does decide to go else where who could be the Angels closer? Stay in house or try to acquire another closer?

I have heard some talks of possibly making Ervin Santana the closer.

The question becomes can Ervin handle that pressure as a closer. Sure he has filthy stuff but his makeup is iffy. I would try my best to resign one the best closers in baseball.

That would never happen because Wagner is like 800 years old.

Because KRod is better than Wagner at this stage of their careers.
