Brewers at the plate: Laynce Nix hit a game-tying home run and singled. J.J. Hardy doubled and singled, driving in a run, and Drew Anderson tripled and scored on Tony Gwynn's sacrifice fly.

Angels at the plate: Casey Kotchman stroked his first homer of the spring, taking All-Star southpaw Chris Capuano deep to right, and also singled. Reggie Willits hit a game-winning single in the ninth after Kendry Morales' leadoff single, and Nick Gorneault had two hits.

Brewers on the mound: Capuano fought his command, giving up three earned runs on four hits, three walks and a hit batter in 1 2/3 innings. Ben Hendrickson went 2 1/3 innings, surrendering a run on two hits and two walks while striking out two.

Angels on the mound: Kelvim Escobar gave up a single and hit batsman in two scoreless innings. Chris Bootcheck struck out three while yielding one hit in two scoreless innings, and Nick Adenhart went 2 2/3 innings, giving up a run on Nix's homer.

Cactus League records: Brewers 2-3; Angels 4-0.

Up next: The Brewers face the White Sox on Monday at Maryvale. Right-hander Jeff Suppan makes his first start of the spring. The Angels host the A's in Tempe, with Ervin Santana scheduled to make his second start.
