    Dee Brown Back With Royals

    SURPRISE, Ariz. (AP) -- Kansas City re-signed outfielder Dee Brown to a minor league contract Saturday.

    Brown, the Royals' first-round draft pick in 1996, hit .234 with 14 home runs and 89 RBIs in 263 games with the Royals over parts of seven seasons. He hit .251 in 59 games with the Royals in 2004, but was released after the season.

    Brown played with four minor league teams last season in four different organizations, hitting .237 with 18 home runs and 70 RBIs in 133 games.

    What a waste of talent. Its like that Hamilton kid in the TB minors. So much talent, so little production.

    Well that's the Royals for you. But I guess they need someone to play in the minors.
