How does he follow up his Cy season? Dealt at mid-season? Hey, that is the trend these days.

I wouldn't say he's a fan of sabermetrics. He's a student of it only because Brian Bannister, who's obsessed with it, introduced him to the stuff. When he was asked about FIP after he won the Cy, he was like "Yeah, I've heard of it. I think it stands for Fielder Independent Pitching or something."

I think you are on to something Zit. Greinke may very well be traded at the deadline. The Royals do have a lot of young talent, but not enough to get them in a respectable category. Guys like Gordon and Hochevar have not panned out to what KC expected. Perhaps they trade Greinke and reep someone else's beneficial system.
