    I heard on the radio that if Zack does not give up an earned run tomorrow night, he'll be the first pitcher in baseball history to go 7 straight starts without giving up an earned run.

    I believe that's correct. Hershiser only went 6 straight starts without giving up a run to end his historic 1988 season (albeit they were all complete games). Zack has a shot at history here.

    I was hoping for one more game so he'd have the record alone, but that's alright. He still pitched a great game and KC won.
