Yabuta Sent Down

Royals optioned RHP Yasuhiko Yabuta to Triple-A Omaha.
Yabuta, who is in the first season of a two-year, $6 million contract, loses his roster spot to Robinson Tejeda after posting a 5.46 ERA in 31 1/3 innings. He was only truly bad in April -- 12 of the 19 earned runs he's allowed came then -- but he's never inspired much confidence since arriving.

Didn't take Tejeda long to getting a role with the Royals. Royals are eight games out of first.

Apparently he had gotten better but not when I saw him pitch. He must have given up every run when I watched.
