Royals claimed RHP Robinson Tejeda off waivers from the Rangers.
Tejeda was designated for assignment last week after going 14-17 with a 5.01 ERA in 260 2/3 career innings with the Rangers. Poor control has kept him from succeeding in the majors, but Tejeda has a 3.38 ERA with a 166/80 K/BB ratio in 160 innings at Triple-A and could get a look in the Royals' rotation.

I was shocked when they didn't pickup Ponson after he was released but now I know why. They just wanted this ex-Ranger. With those AAA numbers, he will surely see the Royals rotation.
