Man, I love the Brockton Rox. It's almost all for publicity (Oil Can Boyd anyone), but damn.

I heard about it on KC radio today. The station is putting up $501 in the bet and maybe send a Royal fan to see the Rox play.
    .
    How good are the Rox?

They are an independant league team who employed Oil Can Boyd.

Basically, if they and the Royals played in a real game, the Royals would win most certainly.

I am not terribly familiar, but they love publicity and this defines publicity

Its bad when the integrity and the will to win of a MLB team has been challenged by an independent ball team. Its even worse when the independent team has a legitimate shot at actually winning more games.

I'm almost sure they'll do it. I can't help but laugh at this. That's how far the Royals have fallen. I guess the Marlins and another team were also being considered but they picked the Royals because of the good history of the franchise. I have no doubt though the Royals would easily beat them in a series.

I don't know about that. We have an team in the indy Frontier League in our town and they could probably hang with the Royals.

Because in the indy leagues, the players are talented, but for whatever reason are trying to work their way back to MLB, whether its for injury reasons or whatever.

Well if they are that good send the team phone number and address to Allard Baird. We need all the help we can get.
