    Huber finally plays...

but the platooning is less than ideal.

Justin Huber, making his first big-league start this season, went 1-for-2 with a walk and a stolen base as the Royals' DH and No. 8 hitter.
Even after getting on base twice in the game, Huber was removed for Matt Stairs once a right-hander was brought in. That the Royals are going to screw up this situation by platooning Huber and not allowing him to continue learning first base is quite poor, but hitting him eighth behind such offensive juggernauts as John Buck, Angel Berroa, and Aaron Guiel (who is left-handed no less) is just laughable. Of course, the biggest problem in Kansas City is the small-market disadvantage.

A good game for Justin. However, the #8 hitter? Platooning with Stairs? Stairs should be playing on a regular basis at another position, Huber has some potential.

The only reason he has any PT at this point is because Sanders is hurt (Stairs), and it's sad that Stairs will go out like this. And Huber is going to get screwed up as well.

It's been a waste to bring up Huber. Rumor is that was an owner's decision. Now he's messing up the roster.
