Who's on the Wanda Rodriguez wagon?

Besides liking his name, Wandy Rodriguez has so far proved that last season was really no fluke. In fact, he's gotten better each season since 2006. Walks are a little high at 15 considering he had 62 and 44 previous two seasons, but overall, pretty good. Tonight he went 8 innings to shut out the padres.

So far, better season than Roy Oswalt. Who knew.

Rodriguez has been their #2 for a while now. He's a good pitcher and handles that bandbox he pitches in very well.

Rodriguez is a pitcher who handles the Reds quite well. If the Reds were facing the Astros in a 5 game series and the Astros used Oswalt and Rodriguez, kryptonite to the Reds, it would be game over.

Wandy Rodriguez overmatched the Rockies with 11 strikeouts while allowing three runs -- two earned -- in seven innings in a win Thursday.
The Rocked only had some luck against him in the fourth, an inning that started with a Lance Berkman error that put Clint Barmes on third base. Outside of that frame, Rodriguez gave up just two hits and walked none. The Astros' best pitcher is 4-2 with a 1.90 ERA.

With his success and the Astros lack thereof, could Oswalt be expendable for the right price?
