    Woody Released/Retired

Woody Williams said he'd retire after being released by the Astros on Saturday.
It's time. For a guy who never made more than 10 starts in a year until his age-30 season, Williams accompished quite a bit. He finishes his career 132-116 with a 4.19 ERA in 15 seasons. He led the NL with seven shutouts in 2001 and won 18 games for the Cardinals in his All-Star season in 2003. 2002 could have been his best year of all, but muscle strains limited him to 17 starts and he finished 9-4 with a 2.53 ERA.
Not exactly the way one wants to retire but needed to happen nonetheless. Astros rotation looks like Roy Oswalt, Brandon Backe, Wandy Rodriguez, Shawn Chacon and Chris Sampson.

It also might not be a bad idea to let me hit over Kendall. Ugh.
I did a lot of good things as a sim league GM.

Ah, give me something clever to say here.

Cant be much worse than Kendall or Yost brilliant idea of batting him there. DUH!!! Yost makes me so nervous. Many of the experts dont even have the Brewers winning the division or WC. And I firmly believe it is because if the manager. He gets out-managed way too many times, especially by the better managers in the game (Cox, Pinella, and La Russa).

I wouldn't be surprised to see him end up with someone.
