    Astros After Castillo

FOX Sports on MSN - MLB - Astros will pursue free agent Castillo

The Astros are preparing to make a strong run at Castillo, according to major-league sources, envisioning him as a replacement for Craig Biggio, who retired at the end of the season.

Castillo, 32, would be a defensive upgrade over Biggio at second, and his .368 career on-base percentage and speed would benefit the Astros in the leadoff spot.
This would be a good move getting some good speed and on base skills in front of Berkman and Lee. A better option than Loretta or Burke. They really need to work on that starting pitching behind Oswalt.

It's one of those moves that is symptomatic of the Astro's disease.
