he is a class guy, and only needs 10 more hits.

    Go get'em Craig!!

He likes Brewers pitching, and they come to Milwaukee next week, who nows? It might happen in Miller Park!

Well see. They're trying to rest him at away parks, so he has a better chance to hit that 3000th in Houston.

HOUSTON -- Jeff Bagwell would like to be in attendance for Craig Biggio's 3,000th hit, and he's going to do everything he can to be there when his longtime teammate and friend reaches the big milestone.
Bagwell is even toying with the idea of putting on a uniform one last time and witnessing the hit from the Astros' dugout, if he can successfully lobby the Commissioner's Office to allow for him to do so.

"I thought about that, whether or not I'd want to be in uniform again and be down there," he said. "Worse comes to worse, I'll hang out in the clubhouse before he gets it and just pop into the dugout when he gets back in.

"I still don't know if I want to be in uniform. I probably would have to get special permission to do that anyway. I don't know if that's what I want to do, but it would be something I would entertain. I would consider it."
    I wouldn't mind it.
"For someone who was never meant for this world, I must confess I'm suddenly having a hard time leaving it. Of course, they say every atom in our bodies was once part of a star. Maybe I'm not leaving... maybe I'm going home."

It's really cool to see baseball fans rooting for a class guy in his trek on history. Nice going you guys. That double last night makes him the all-time doubles leader for right-handers.

I hope he gets it at home, but I'll take it wherever it happens.

It looks to me Milwaukee has their gameface back on. Could be bad times for Houston this series.

Biggio is a classy guy and he deserves all the accolades he is getting. 3000 hits is a huge accomplishment.

    Astros | Berkman returns Sunday
    Mon, 25 Jun 2007 17:45:16 -0700
Alyson Footer, of Houston.Astros.MLB.com, reports Houston Astros 1B Lance Berkman (hand) returned to the lineup Sunday, June 24, after missing one game due to a bruised left hand. Berkman went 2-for-5 with a home run, four RBI, two runs scored and a walk. The bruising is a result of Berkman repeatedly being jammed at the plate. He said, "It's definitely going to recur. But you just play with it."
